Before leaving service
Open Fish Fish while online and sign in on the device you will carry. An installed PWA uses browser storage; installing does not turn transcription, fish identification or live conditions into offline services. Keep the app and its stored data on that device.
When you are back online
The app’s offline and sync controls show pending work. Open Pending Sync to inspect catches and recordings.
- Reconnect and keep the original browser/app open. Check that you are signed into the same account.
- Open Pending Sync. Use Sync Now and inspect items under Needs Attention.
- Retry a failed catch when the control is offered. Correct a validation problem before retrying again.
- For processed recordings, return to the pending recap and finish review. Confirm the saved catches appear after reopening Catches.
Keep the only copy
Do not clear site data, uninstall, or switch devices as a repair step while work is pending. Private browsing, device storage pressure and browser eviction can remove local data. Queued work has not necessarily reached the server.
Deleting a queue item discards that local work. Sign-out can warn about unsynced records; take the warning seriously. If a failure persists, contact support with the time, browser and visible status, without sending private audio or precise locations unless needed and intentionally shared.
