Find a remembered outing and prepare another
Search your own fishing evidence and keep regional background separate from what you observed.

Follow the evidence
Open the Fishability view under Analytics and use its personal evidence filters. Try a species, fly or lure, water, observation or season you remember. Open the linked catch or outing to read the original source.
Results distinguish personal catches, outings and retained voice observations. A word match is not proof that a species was caught or a hatch occurred. Missing outing links and incomplete loaded history are identified; dates do not silently create trip links.
Prepare with the right scope
Choose state, habitat, month and species for regional preparation. Exact-water guidance requires choosing that known water explicitly. Read each source, scope and review date, then verify current access, law and conditions with the responsible authority.
A small or success-biased journal does not establish catch probability. Keep tentative patterns tentative and record blanks as well as successful trips. Regional background is not an observation from your own outing.
Check an original station
For an eligible source catch, choose Consider this catch for station checks. In Optional station condition checks, enable the device preference, choose a measurement and absolute tolerance, then Save or replace this rule. Check current stations now makes an explicit check, with up to three rules.
The check compares the original USGS station, not your current location. Inspect original/current observation times, quality and the source catch. An unavailable or stale reading is not zero, and numerical similarity is not a bite prediction. Checks have a per-account 15-minute cooldown; failed provider attempts also consume it. Nothing is sent while the panel or app is closed.
Rules, useful/not-useful feedback and dismissed matches stay on this device within their stated limits. Opt out to remove rules and feedback; sign-out clears these preferences.
